First Day of Freedom

Hooray! It’s my first day of freedom from having a job!!

I decided to commemorate the day by publishing a memorable quote on freedom, and after doing a google search, I found this great one:

Freedom is like taking a bath — you got to keep doing it every day.
Florynce Kennedy

So here’s hoping that I don’t let myself settle into another rut – that I continue to seek freedom and enjoy it!

And here’s hoping you all attain the freedom you deserve as well!

I’m heading off to Minneapolis today for one of my Feng Shui training weekends. I have been interested in Feng Shui for a long time, and last year decided to get more training in it. Look for me to create a blog on Feng Shui soon. :)

So please be patient if your comments are not approved right away. I will get to them as soon as I can.

I’ll be back Monday, eager to get going on my new life as a full-time entrepreneur!

Who Said That

  1. Have a good weekend Pat!!

  2. Congrats on taking the big step on giving up the day job! I’ve been following a long for a while now and thought it would a great time to wish you luck on your online adventures :)

… so how does it feel to be a full time online entrepreur?

  3. Thanks, Fred and Empress! It feels great. The feeling of freedom is just fantastic.

  4. Wow-I Feng Shu weekend! You’ll have to post about what you’ve learned…

And CONGRATULATIONS to you for choosing to leave your day job and take back your life – I am so excited for you!

    Christine

  5. Thanks, Christine! I’m learning all about the 5 elements this weekend. You’ll have to read my future Feng Shui blog to find out more :)

I’m inspired that you “quit the cubicle” 2 years ago and are still glad you did it. I hope I do as well as you are doing!

  6. Hey Pat – Congratulations on leaving your job. That’s great news.

I remember when I quit my job over two years ago. For the first year, it seemed strange to not have a job.

Now, it’s the opposite. It would feel really strange having a job. How things change… for the better. :-)

  7. Thanks, Ryan! I’m looking forward to the day when it seems strange to have a job! :)

  8. I should have dropped by to add my congrats earlier. I have no excuse except that my one TV vice is baseball playoffs and the World Series. Thank goodness I don’t care for football (either the round or oval kind) or I’d never get anything done LoL
Wishing you the best and especially with the most difficult transition you may have … you have to keep working as if you have a job.
between my own procrastination (which goes along way0 and my dear wife’s feeling that since the ‘net is 24-7 and the malls aren’t I don’t get near as much done per day as I could.
If I ever get the real income up in range I’m happy with, my first self-treat won’t be some new computer “toy” it will be an office … perhaps outside the home. I do not miss having a job at all, but I do miss having a place to go to for work …. weird, eh?

  9. Thanks, Dave. I am finding the transition more difficult than I thought. I understand what you mean about having a place to go to. I am finding myself getting sidetracked with work that needs to be done around the house (which I never noticed when I was at work).

  10. Hey Pat,
I wish you good luck and hope you had a great success in whatever you put your efforts into.
I cam to your post through chritines blog and found you have some great reads on how to improve your blog appeal and increase the readership.
I am also into your readership list now.
And i am seeing myself in your shoes in a years time.

    Regards
    Sanjay

  11. Hi Sanjay, thanks for the good wishes! And I’m glad you’re one of my regular readers now. Good luck to you – I am sure you can do it! Just do a little something every day to work towards your goals.
