Internet Marketing Is Easy!

I received an interesting link today from John Furst of E-Biz Booster Blog.

It was a download link for Armand Morin’s report, An Obvious Truth.

The above link is to a copy of the report (pdf) which I have on my site. (It is ok to copy and give away this report.) I have also put it on my Free Ebook page.

I was very impressed with the report. Of course, he created it to sell a product down the road, but it has some really good information in it, and he promises more free information to come.

If nothing else, you should make a note of, and print out, pages 6-7, where he gives a brilliant outline of a way to make money online. It sounds so simple, and I can see how it can work. I am going to try it myself.

I already have experience selling my own ebook, so I can see where his method of selling private label ebooks can work just as well, or even better.

I have been advertising my ebook, Blog Traffic Jump Start, with AdWords, and it is converting pretty well. The only problem is that not enough people are searching for “blog traffic” and similar keywords. I think the next product I sell will be something with broader appeal, so I can get more searchers to come to my sales page.

So keep that in mind when selecting a product to sell – make it something that a lot of people search for.

I had not heard much about Armand Morin in the past. I don’t really keep up with all the internet gurus, except a couple that I really admire.

However, I did purchase his Ecover Generator a while ago. I was not satisfied with the covers I had created on my own for my ebook. The one I have now was created with Armand’s Ecover Generator, and it’s a lot better. If you do purchase the Ecover Generator, though, be aware that there is a problem with saving your cover if you have Windows Vista. They are aware of it, and are working on a solution, but in the meantime, I found a work-around. I just do a print screen and then save it in another image editor.

Anyway, after reading this free report by Armand Morin, I am quite impressed and will be keeping an eye on him.

Here’s a link to his blog: Internet Marketing Explained. There are some good videos there – links to the videos are in the right sidebar.

Again, if you would like to download his report, here it is: An Obvious Truth.

Enjoy the report and the videos!

  1. Hi Pat! Thanks for the mention. The ‘making money on the internet’ marketplace follows indeed some odd rules, and it’s indeed much easier to get started making ‘real’ money elsewhere. Yours John.

  2. John, thanks for sending me the link. I have already learned a lot from the videos on Armand’s blog, as well as the report. I think you’re right, the “make money online” market is very different – but it’s so much fun! ;)

  3. Sounds like an interesting ebook pat, and I had a look at your ebook page too, great content.

  4. I think Armand misses one point, nobody produces a product and releases resale rights right away. That is usually done 6 months down the road … after the producer of the product has gone sold as much as possible himself or through his own affiliates.

By that time you can find the PLR product your spending adwords money on to sell being sold on ebay for pennies.

Plus your competing with many other affiliates who purchased those rights.

Pat, what you have done I think is much more effective. Building a site that gets traffic along with the mini course that provides useful information and upsells the ebook.

  5. Nick, thanks!

David, you have a good point. As John Furst said above, the internet marketing niche is different than other niches.

I think in other niches, you could get away with selling the same book 6 months later. Things don’t change so much in other niches as they do in IM. In the dog niche, I have seen the same exact ebooks being sold for years.

If you are thinking of doing this for IM, I think you would have to do some re-writing to make the book fresh, and create your own title, cover, graphics, etc. If it is a PLR book, you are allowed to do this.

  6. I still think the 5-minute marketing research method James Brausch suggests is an excellent one. Even though his has gone to a mass market version these days.

  7. Hi Martin,

Good point – market research is so important. I am not sure James Brausch’s method still works as he first described it, because it used the Yahoo/Overture keyword tool, and I don’t think that tool is working now. But you can do the same thing with different keyword tools. I use Keyword Elite for this.

  8. A software from James D. Brausch is something that made a big effect of my web page ranking and traffic. The Artemis Pro is a software which solved my duplicate content problem. Now I got a greater edge.

  9. FYI – I did a test with an ebook cover and it significantly reduced my conversions. Not to say the same result would happen with all ebook covers, but it’s something worth testing.

  10. Thanks, Ryan. I will have to test that.

  11. I will never understand the one page sales pages. I understand some promote legitim and good stuff, but most of the products are scams. I would make a blog and promote my stuff there, creating some real and useful content related to my ebook instead of that ugly one page site. My 2 cents..

  12. John, people use the one-page sales pages because they have been proven to work. I think your way might work too, though.

  13. Yes, they work. For some people only. It looks like scam to me to be true.I don’t ever buy anything from that kind of site. Maybe is just me, but I wouldn’t use it :D

  14. Interesting John.

Back when I began in 2004 a long-page sales letter for my e-book worked fine. It still works now but nowhere near as well and it has been heavily tested and revised.

In the end I stuck a quality blog underneath it and have the e-book as just one of the products.

As you say, I think the ground has shifted to greater and greater skepticism, and the extra effort to prove your credibility is often needed.

  15. Yes, I strongly believe that one long page is obsolete and using a blog or a few pages site will make the site more trusted and increases the conversion rate.
