Speed Up Your Blog Load Time

I tried to leave a comment on Paul’s site but after 3 tries…I’m giving up.

There’s a bit more to the story than he wrote.

Nothing impacts on how fast my blog loads then a bloated database! You have to look at the tables on the database “wp_options”.

All plugins and even some themes use wp_options to set its setting and as such contribute to the size of the table – it continues to grow and contribute to progressively slower load times.

What you have to do is login to your phpMyAdmin and open the database for your blog. Click on Browse action for wp_options table and go through it record by record.

It may take a few hours depending on how old your blog is…but your Blog and Users will greatly appreciate the improved Load time!
